Class A CDL Training Online

Our Class A CDL Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) course provides the federally mandated theory (classroom) portion of the training required to obtain Class A CDL (commercial driver’s license). Our ELDT courses are approved in all 50 states.

After you complete our Class A online ELDT theory course, you can then take the ELDT behind-the-wheel (BTW) training from an approved training provider.  If you need help finding a BTW training provider, just let us know, and we can help you find one.

If you already know that you need a Class A CDL, enroll now by clicking the orange button below. If you’re not sure if you need a Class A or a Class B, keep reading.

Features of Our CDL Training Online

Instead of spending hours in a classroom, now you can take the theory training, which is the first step required by the federal government to get your CDL license, from the comfort of your own home. This course is for individuals who want to get their Class A CDL. All of our courses meet FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) requirements for theory instruction in ELDT (Entry Level Driver Training). This course is recognized in all 50 states, so you can use it no matter what state you live in or what behind-the-wheel provider you choose.

This Class A CDL training course consists of 30 lessons that you can complete at your own pace, and it includes helpful videos explaining each topic. Students can also listen to the lessons being read aloud by a real person at normal speed or at higher speeds to save time. Our online CDL course provides training in all theory topics required by the FMCSA for ELDT.

When you finish this course, your completion record will be entered into the FMCSA’s TPR (Training Provider Registry) within 48 hours. You will then be able to schedule and complete the ELDT behind-the-wheel (BTW) training at an approved training provider. Once you complete the BTW training you can take your state’s CDL skills test. After passing the CDL test, you’ll get a state CDL license and can then work for companies that operate Class A trucks.
